Adeena founded Show Me Leather in 2015 in order to give a single place where the variety of Leather folks in Missouri can come together and celebrate their diversity.
Adeena's vision for Show Me Leather has always been to create an environment where everyone had the opportunity to learn and grow. That vision continues to this day.

Lady Gidget she/her was honored to serve SML from 2017-2022. During her tenure she produced 5 contests, and multiple SML Presents during the pandemic. She was the first state producer to produce the Power Exchange title. She also changed the MO Puppy title to MO Pet to be more inclusive. She also created the MO Little/Big contest which h
Lady Gidget she/her was honored to serve SML from 2017-2022. During her tenure she produced 5 contests, and multiple SML Presents during the pandemic. She was the first state producer to produce the Power Exchange title. She also changed the MO Puppy title to MO Pet to be more inclusive. She also created the MO Little/Big contest which has now grown to 5 states.
Her motto during her tenure was Building Bridges, she felt that SML was to help bridge all the cities in MO and a way for the cities to create a network of education and support.
In 2023, she turned SML to Asher so she could continue her mission of Building Bridges by creating Midwest Leather Kink Alliance and produces Midwest Person of Leather and Midwest Power Exchange.

Asher took over Show Me Leather at the beginning of 2023 with the hope of being able to bring further representation of Missouri's diverse communities and being able to provide a location for those to come and celebrate their friends in Leather.
He envisions being able to create a space where all feel represented and welcome, so we can celebrate the future of Leather together.
